U Bambuchů ski resort

U Bambuchů is a tiny local hill in the Zlín Region of eastern Czech Republic, suited only to absolute beginners and families with very young children seeking a gentle introduction to skiing on a budget. With just 1.3 km of piste, 174 m of vertical, and three runs (two easy, one intermediate), this is a training slope masquerading as a resort - useful for learning to snowplough and building confidence, but offering zero challenge or variety for anyone with intermediate skills or above.

The honest caveats are severe: snow reliability is abysmal at 14/100, meaning you'll frequently find yourself on thin cover or artificial snow; the day pass at CZK 1200 is shockingly expensive for the terrain on offer (roughly CZK 900 per km of skiing); and there is virtually no off-piste opportunity (1/5 rating). The season runs December to March, but given the low elevation (base 527 m) and poor snow record, don't bank on consistent conditions even then.

This is a local ski school venue and weekend destination for nearby families, not a ski holiday. Unless you're a complete beginner within 30 minutes' drive of Zlín, or you need a nursery slope for a toddler, you'll find better value and terrain almost anywhere else in the Alps or Carpathians.
