Kinderskiparadies La Nars ski resort

Kinderskiparadies La Nars is unambiguously a beginner and family resort, not a destination for anyone seeking varied terrain or challenging runs. With just 0.4 km of piste, three easy runs, and a 33 m vertical drop, this is a training ground for young skiers taking their first turns or families with very small children. The moderate snow reliability (26/100) means you'll want to visit during peak winter months - November to April is the window, but December through February offers the best odds. At CHF 78 for an adult day pass, you're paying Alpine prices for what amounts to a nursery slope.

The resort's real strength is its singular focus: it does one thing and does it safely. Three lifts serve three easy runs in a compact, manageable area where parents can keep eyes on children without stress. The 1179 m base elevation in Graubünden places it in Switzerland's most reliable snow region, though the modest vertical means natural snow cover is never guaranteed. Off-piste is essentially non-existent (1/5 rating), so don't come expecting adventure beyond the groomed runs.

We'd recommend La Nars only if you have very young children just learning to ski and want a low-pressure, controlled environment. It's a half-day or day-trip option from larger nearby resorts, not a week-long destination. If your group includes intermediate or advanced skiers, you'll need to look elsewhere - this resort will bore them within hours.
