Hittisberglift Hittisau ski resort

Hittisberglift Hittisau is a micro-resort suited to absolute beginners, families with young children, or locals seeking a quick après-work run in Vorarlberg. With just 2 km of piste, a single lift, and five intermediate runs squeezed into 187 m of vertical, this is not a destination resort - it is a neighbourhood hill. The runs are genuinely intermediate in pitch, which means complete novices may struggle, but confident beginners will find manageable terrain in a low-pressure setting.

The honest caveat is snow reliability: at 17/100, this is a marginal proposition. Sitting between 809 m and 996 m in the Austrian Alps, Hittisberglift depends heavily on natural snowfall and will close or operate on thin cover for much of the season. A day pass at EUR 62 is reasonable for Austria, but only if snow is lying. The November-to-April season window is standard, yet the variable snow rating suggests you should check conditions before driving out.

We recommend this resort only if you live nearby, are teaching a child their first turns, or want a quick local fix. Do not plan a ski holiday around it. The single lift means queues during busy periods, and the terrain offers zero challenge for intermediates and above. In poor snow years, you may find the hill closed more often than open.
