Mladé Buky is a small, beginner-focused resort in the Czech Republic's Hradec Králové Region that suits families with young children and skiers taking their first runs. With 11 easy runs and just one intermediate option, it's designed for learning and confidence-building rather than progression or challenge. The modest vertical drop of 108 m and compact 2.6 km of piste mean you'll lap the mountain quickly, but the six lifts keep lines manageable.

The honest caveat: this is a hill, not a mountain. Snow reliability is moderate at best (31/100), so you're gambling on winter conditions in Central Europe - many seasons will see thin coverage or rain at this low elevation (480-587 m). The day pass at CZK 1200 is expensive for what you get, especially if poor snow forces you to cut your visit short. There's virtually no off-piste terrain (1/5 rating), so once you've skied the runs a few times, there's little to explore.
