Petříkovice is a tiny, beginner-focused resort in the Czech Republic that suits families with young children or absolute novices taking their first turns on skis. With just 1.7 km of piste, three easy runs, and a 142 m vertical drop, this is a learning hill rather than a destination resort - think local weekend spot, not a week-long ski holiday. The modest lift infrastructure and gentle terrain make it ideal for building confidence in a low-pressure environment, and the CZK 1200 day pass is refreshingly affordable by European standards.

The honest caveat is that snow reliability here is poor (15/100), which means you will frequently find yourself on thin cover or artificial snow during the December-to-February season. The resort sits at just 434 m base elevation in a region not known for heavy snowfall, so plan around this reality. There is virtually no off-piste terrain (1/5 rating), so intermediates and advanced skiers will exhaust the runs in a morning. This is not a place to build your ski holiday around unless you are genuinely a beginner or have very young children who need a safe, compact training ground.
