Coarse, granular spring snow that forms when repeated melt-freeze cycles turn the surface into loose, rounded crystals.

Corn snow is a spring skiing staple: the surface freezes solid overnight and softens from the top down as the sun rises. Catch the window when the top inch or two is soft over a firm base and it skis like fast, predictable velvet.
