Céüse, Ceuse ski resort
Céüse is not a ski resort in any conventional sense. With just 0.1 km of piste, a 9-metre vertical drop, and an elevation band of only 9 metres, this is essentially a beginner's nursery slope or training hill masquerading as a resort. At EUR 60 per adult day pass, you are paying full resort prices for what amounts to a few runs down a modest hill. The location in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur is geographically correct, but proximity to the Alps does not make this a serious skiing destination.
This suits only absolute beginners taking their first tentative steps on skis, or families with very young children who need a gentle, controlled environment for a single afternoon. Even then, you would exhaust the terrain in under an hour. Snow reliability is rated as good, which is the only genuine advantage - but it barely matters when there is so little to ski. The lack of off-piste terrain (1/5 rating) confirms this is a groomed-only facility with no adventure or variety.
We cannot recommend Céüse as a destination for any meaningful ski holiday. If you are planning a winter trip to the Alps, look elsewhere. If you are a complete beginner seeking instruction, a proper resort with varied terrain and proper facilities will serve you far better. Céüse feels like a municipal practice slope that has been given resort status for administrative reasons.
