La Planche-des-Belles-Filles is a tiny, beginner-focused resort in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region that suits families with young children, ski school groups, and those seeking a low-pressure introduction to skiing. The terrain is almost entirely easy runs - five of the seven slopes are green - making it an ideal nursery slope destination. At EUR 60 for a day pass, it is reasonably priced for what is essentially a teaching mountain.

The honest caveats are significant. With just 2.8 km of piste and 164 m of vertical, this is not a resort for anyone seeking variety or challenge. Snow reliability is moderate at best (23/100), meaning you will frequently encounter thin coverage or artificial snow.
