Les Karellis is a compact, no-frills French Alpine resort that suits families and intermediate skiers seeking affordable access to genuine mountain terrain without the crowds or expense of larger neighbours. The 60 km of piste spread across 920 m of vertical offers enough variety for a long weekend or short week, with a modest 17 lifts keeping queues manageable. The character is distinctly local and unpretentious - this is a working mountain village resort, not a purpose-built destination.
