Les Entremonts is a tiny, family-oriented resort in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region that suits beginners, young children, and those seeking a low-key, local atmosphere rather than a destination ski holiday. With just 4 km of piste and 345 m of vertical, this is a learning hill first and foremost - ideal for first-timers or families wanting gentle slopes without the crowds and expense of larger resorts. The seven lifts are well-proportioned for the terrain, and the EUR 60 day pass is reasonable value for the Alps.

The honest caveat is snow reliability: at 8/100, Les Entremonts is unreliable and dependent on artificial snowmaking to maintain a season from December through April. This is a low-altitude resort vulnerable to warm spells and rain, so visiting during peak cold (January-February) is essential.
