モヤヒルズ, Moya Hills ski resort

Moya Hills is a compact, local-focused resort in Aomori Prefecture that suits Japanese skiers seeking convenient access to modest terrain within easy reach of Aomori city. With just 5.8 km of piste across nine runs and a 275 m vertical drop, this is emphatically a beginner-to-intermediate hill rather than a destination resort. The run variety (3 easy, 4 intermediate, 2 advanced) is reasonable for its size, and the five-lift setup keeps lines manageable during quieter periods.

The honest caveat is snow reliability: rated 2/100, Aomori's variable winters mean you cannot count on consistent coverage, especially early and late season despite the December-to-May window. The off-piste rating of 1/5 confirms this is a groomed-run-only proposition. At JPY 6000 for an adult day pass, pricing is steep for the terrain on offer - this reflects Japan's resort economics rather than exceptional value. Moya Hills works best as a local's hill for quick sessions or as a secondary option when exploring Aomori's skiing, not as a primary multi-day destination.
