Poráč - Brodok ski resort

Poráč - Brodok is a micro-resort suited only to complete beginners, families with very young children, or locals seeking a quick afternoon session within the Košice region. With just 0.6 km of piste and a single lift serving a 136 m vertical drop, this is not a destination resort - it is a practice slope masquerading as a ski area. The modest elevation (676-807 m) and variable snow reliability (16/100) mean you should expect frequent closures or thin coverage outside peak winter weeks.

The resort's sole strength is accessibility and affordability for the immediate region: a EUR 48 day pass is cheap, and the compact footprint makes it ideal for teaching absolute beginners or keeping small children entertained for an hour or two. The typical season runs December to April, though snow conditions will be unpredictable. There is no off-piste terrain worth mentioning (1/5 rating), and the single lift means queues could form even on this tiny hill during busy periods.

We would not recommend traveling to this resort from outside Slovakia. If you live nearby and want a quick ski fix on a winter afternoon, it serves a purpose. Otherwise, invest the drive time to reach one of Slovakia's larger resorts or the High Tatras, where you will find genuine skiing and more reliable snow.
