Mrákotín ski resort

Mrákotín is a micro-resort suited only to absolute beginners, families with very young children, or locals seeking a convenient practice slope. With just 0.7 km of piste, 57 m of vertical, and two lifts, this is not a destination resort - it is a training hill. The Vysočina Region location in central Czech Republic offers no alpine scenery or serious skiing infrastructure.

The honest caveats are severe. Snow reliability is poor (14/100), meaning you will frequently find marginal or no skiing conditions across the winter season. The day pass at CZK 1200 is shockingly expensive for the terrain on offer - that is premium pricing for a nursery slope. Off-piste is non-existent (1/5 rating). There is no reason to travel here unless you live within 30 minutes and want a quick lesson or warm-up run.

We would not recommend Mrákotín to anyone planning a ski holiday. For Czech skiers seeking real terrain, Špindlerův Mlýn or Harrachov in the Krkonoše Mountains are far superior. For international visitors, the entire Czech Republic is marginal for skiing - you should look to the Alps instead.
