Friesovy boudy ski resort

Friesovy boudy is a micro-resort suited only to absolute beginners, families with very young children, or locals seeking a quick ski fix near Hradec Králové. With just 0.7 km of piste, 123 m of vertical, and a single lift, this is not a destination resort - it is a training slope masquerading as a ski area. The modest elevation (1107-1230 m) and moderate snow reliability mean you will be gambling on conditions, especially in shoulder seasons.

The honest caveat: at CZK 1200 for an adult day pass, the pricing is frankly punitive for what you get. That cost rivals major Alpine resorts with hundreds of kilometres of terrain. You will exhaust the skiing in under an hour. There is no off-piste terrain worth mentioning (1/5 rating), no terrain parks mentioned, and no infrastructure details suggesting restaurants, accommodation, or après-ski. This is a budget tow-rope hill, not a holiday destination.

Visit only if you live within 30 minutes and want a quick practice session, or if you are teaching a toddler to snowplough. Otherwise, drive to the Tatras or Austrian resorts - you will get vastly better value and infinitely more skiing for similar money.
