پیست اسکی آبعلی, Abali Ski Resort ski resort

Abali is a beginner-friendly resort for urban skiers in Tehran Province seeking a quick mountain escape rather than serious alpine terrain. At just 0.5 km of piste and 116 m of vertical, it functions more as a local training hill than a destination resort - perfect for families introducing children to skiing, school groups, or anyone wanting a few runs within easy reach of the capital. The eight lifts and modest elevation (2457-2573 m) mean short queues and manageable slopes, while the USD 10 day pass is genuinely affordable.

The honest caveat: this is not a resort for intermediate or advanced skiers seeking varied terrain, challenging descents, or off-piste adventure. Snow reliability sits at a middling 54/100, so conditions can be patchy outside peak winter months. The season runs December to April, but spring conditions may be slushy. Off-piste is essentially non-existent (1/5 rating). Abali works as a convenient weekend outing for Tehran residents, but international ski tourists should look elsewhere unless they're combining it with cultural tourism in Iran.
