پیست اسکی فریدون شهر, Fereydunshahr Ski Resort ski resort

Fereydunshahr is a modest, local resort in Isfahan Province that suits day-trippers and families seeking a quick ski fix in central Iran, not serious skiers hunting vertical or varied terrain. At 92 m of vertical and just 1.9 km of piste split across two easy runs and one intermediate, this is a beginner's hill - think practice slopes rather than a destination resort. The real appeal lies in its accessibility, bargain pricing (USD 10 a day), and the novelty of skiing in Iran's high-altitude landscape at 2771 m base elevation.

Snow reliability is respectable at 60/100, and the December-to-April season aligns with northern hemisphere winter, so you won't be chasing marginal conditions. The two lifts keep queues manageable on quiet days. However, there is virtually no off-piste terrain (1/5 rating), the runs are short and repetitive, and the resort lacks the infrastructure, variety, and après-ski culture of established European or North American hills. This is purely a teaching mountain for locals and curious visitors - not a place to spend a week.

Go if you're in Isfahan for other reasons and want a half-day outing, or if you're collecting unusual ski destinations. Skip it if you're after challenging terrain, long runs, or a proper ski holiday.
