A wide, open, concave basin high on a mountain that fills with snow and offers broad, unobstructed skiing.

Alpine bowls sit above or at treeline and catch huge amounts of snow. On a powder day a big bowl is the classic place to lay out long, linked turns - the terrain is open enough to spread skiers out without tree cover to navigate.
