CopenHill ski resort
CopenHill is not a ski resort in any conventional sense - it's an urban ski slope built atop a waste-to-energy incinerator in Copenhagen. We'd recommend it only to novelty-seekers, urban explorers, or families wanting a quirky Scandinavian experience rather than genuine skiing. The single 0.4 km run with zero elevation gain is a gimmick, not a mountain.
The appeal lies entirely in its uniqueness: you can ski year-round in Denmark's capital, enjoy city views, and visit a functioning architectural landmark. The five lifts handle the modest slope efficiently. However, at DKK 300 for a day pass, you're paying premium prices for what amounts to a 400-meter novelty run with artificial snow and virtually no vertical. Snow reliability is abysmal (15/100), and the "advanced" run is likely a steep pitch on a flat hill rather than genuine terrain.
Skip this if you want real skiing. Visit if you're in Copenhagen for other reasons and want a memorable photo op, or if you're collecting oddball ski experiences. It's a fun architectural statement and urban playground, but calling it a ski resort is generous marketing.
