Eggberge is a pocket-sized village resort in Uri that suits families and beginners looking for a low-key, local alternative to the Alps' mega-resorts. With just 1.4 km of piste and 284 m of vertical, it's genuinely tiny - think a single afternoon's worth of skiing for most intermediates. The two-lift setup and modest elevation (1460-1743 m) mean this is fundamentally a beginner's hill, and the good snow reliability is welcome, though at 38/100 it's not exceptional by Alpine standards.

The real appeal here is simplicity and affordability.
