Brot-Dessus ski resort

Brot-Dessus is a micro-resort in the Neuchâtel region of the Swiss Alps, and it is honest to say this is not a destination for serious skiers. With just 0.3 km of piste, a single lift, and a vertical drop of 43 metres, it functions more as a local training slope than a proper ski area. The snow reliability is moderate at best (22/100), meaning you will frequently find yourself disappointed by conditions during the shoulder seasons that define its November-to-April window.

This resort suits absolute beginners, families with very young children seeking a gentle introduction to skiing, or locals from the Neuchâtel area looking for a quick practice session. The modest CHF 78 day pass reflects its limited scope. The single real strength is accessibility and simplicity - there are no queues, no crowds, and no overwhelming terrain choices. However, the caveats are substantial: the piste is tiny, snow cover is unreliable, and you will outgrow this mountain in a single morning. Anyone with intermediate skills or above should look elsewhere in the Swiss Alps.
