Hapfere ski resort

Hapfere is a micro-resort in the Fribourg Alps that suits only the most niche audience: young children taking their first ski lessons, or locals seeking a quick after-work run on rare snowy days. With just 1 km of piste, 67 m of vertical, and a single lift, this is not a destination resort by any measure. The snow reliability is genuinely poor at 19/100, meaning you'll spend most winter days hoping for conditions rather than skiing them.

The honest caveat is that Hapfere's low elevation (864 m base) makes it heavily dependent on natural snowfall, and the Alps' warming winters mean reliable snow here is increasingly rare. At CHF 78 for an adult day pass, you're paying mainstream resort prices for a beginner's nursery slope. The single lift and minimal terrain mean you'll exhaust the mountain in under an hour. This works only if you have very young children, live nearby, or are desperate for any skiing on a rare powder day.

We'd skip Hapfere unless you're a local or have toddlers in ski school. For everyone else, the 30-minute drive to a proper Fribourg-region resort like Moléson or further afield to Verbier or Chamonix is worth the effort.
