Predaia is a pocket-sized village resort in Trentino that suits families with young children or absolute beginners seeking a low-pressure introduction to skiing in the Italian Alps. With just 1.9 km of piste, three easy runs, and a modest 133 m vertical drop, this is not a destination for progression or varied terrain - it is a nursery slope with a mountain setting. The appeal lies in its intimacy, accessibility, and the charm of the Trentino region; it works best as a half-day warm-up before heading to larger nearby resorts, or as a gentle family outing where the focus is on learning fundamentals rather than covering distance.

The honest caveat is snow reliability.
