Antermoia, Untermoi ski resort

Antermoia is a micro-resort in the Dolomites that suits families with young children, beginners, or those seeking a gentle, low-key mountain experience rather than serious skiing. With just 0.8 km of piste and a single lift, this is not a destination for building technique or logging vertical - it's a village-level operation where the mountain itself is almost incidental to the charm of being in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. The modest EUR 55 day pass is fair value for what's on offer, and the good snow reliability through the December-to-April season means you won't be caught out by poor conditions.

The honest caveat is that this resort has almost no substance as a ski area. One lift and less than a kilometre of marked terrain means you'll exhaust the skiing in an hour or two. There is virtually no off-piste opportunity (1/5 rating), so this is strictly a groomed-run operation. If you're looking for a proper ski day, you need to be within striking distance of larger Dolomites resorts like Val Gardena or Cortina. Antermoia works as a novelty stop, a teaching slope for toddlers, or a base for exploring the broader region - but not as a standalone ski holiday.
