Area Sciistica Pian del Poggio Monte Chiappo ski resort

Pian del Poggio Monte Chiappo is a tiny, local hill in Lombardy that suits day-trippers from Milan or nearby towns looking for a quick ski fix, families with young children, and beginners wanting to build confidence on gentle terrain. With just 3.2 km of piste, a single lift, and two easy runs, this is not a destination resort - it's a neighbourhood slope that happens to have snow from December through April.

The vertical drop of 352 m and modest elevation (1334 m to 1685 m) mean conditions are weather-dependent; snow reliability sits at a moderate 30/100, so you'll want to check conditions before driving out. The EUR 55 day pass is reasonable for a quick session, and the lack of crowds is a genuine plus. Off-piste terrain is negligible (1/5 rating), so this is pure groomed-run skiing.

Honest caveat: if you're seeking varied terrain, challenging intermediate runs, or a full day's skiing, look elsewhere. This is a one-lift, one-hour resort. It works as a local warm-up or a family morning out, but not as a serious ski day or holiday destination.
