Iberg ski resort

Iberg is a small, local hill in the Bavarian Alps that suits families, beginners, and skiers looking for a quick, affordable day out rather than a serious ski holiday. With just 2.7 km of piste, 208 m of vertical, and a modest 20 lifts serving 7 runs, this is a neighbourhood resort - perfect for learning or brushing up technique without the crowds or expense of larger destinations. The EUR 42 day pass is genuinely cheap, and the good snow reliability for its modest elevation is a genuine plus for a winter escape from Munich or Stuttgart.

The honest caveat: Iberg is tiny. Two easy runs and four intermediate slopes mean you will exhaust the terrain quickly if you're an intermediate or stronger skier. There is virtually no off-piste (1/5 rating), so fresh snow won't extend your options. The season runs December to March, which is short and weather-dependent at this low elevation - snow can be patchy in early and late season. This is not a destination resort; it's a local hill for a half-day or a teaching base.

We'd recommend Iberg only if you live nearby, are introducing young children to skiing, or want a low-pressure warm-up day before heading to bigger terrain. For a proper ski holiday, look elsewhere in the Alps.
