Ombergsliden ski resort

Ombergsliden is a micro-resort in rural Östergötland County, Sweden, suited only to complete beginners, young children, or locals seeking a quick ski fix within driving distance. With just 0.5 km of piste, 59 m of vertical, and two lifts, this is not a destination resort - it is a neighbourhood hill. The snow reliability is poor (15/100), meaning you will spend most winters waiting for conditions rather than skiing them.

The standout strength is accessibility: if you live nearby, Ombergsliden offers a low-commitment way to introduce children to skiing or squeeze in a few runs on a winter afternoon. The season runs November to May, which is reasonable for Scandinavia. However, the day pass at SEK 580 is shockingly expensive for the terrain on offer - you are paying premium prices for a training slope.
