Prestlia ski resort - Trøndelag, Norway

    Prestlia ski resort

    Norway · Trøndelag
    Season Open

Prestlia is not a serious ski resort - it is a tiny, marginal hill in central Norway with 0.3 km of piste, a single lift, and a 45-metre vertical drop. At NOK 650 for an adult day pass, it is absurdly expensive for what it offers. The snow reliability is dire (15/100), meaning you will often find yourself looking at bare ground rather than snow. This suits only the most niche audience: perhaps locals seeking a quick winter outing, or curious travellers documenting Scandinavia's smallest ski areas. The typical season runs January to May, which at least aligns with Norway's more reliable snow window, but even then the odds are stacked against you.

The single redeeming feature is location - Trøndelag is a beautiful region - but that does not compensate for the resort's fundamental inadequacy as a ski destination. Off-piste terrain is negligible (1/5 rating). There are no real facilities, no terrain variety, and no reason to travel here specifically to ski. We would only recommend Prestlia as a novelty stop if you are already in the region and conditions happen to align, or if you are collecting Scandinavian micro-resorts for sport. For anyone seeking actual skiing, look elsewhere.
