Liabakken ski resort - Oslo, Norway

    Liabakken ski resort

    Norway · Oslo
    Season Open

Liabakken is a micro-resort in Oslo's backyard - essentially a local training slope and weekend hill for Scandinavian families and beginners who live in or near the city. It suits nobody planning a proper ski holiday, but it serves a real purpose for urban skiers who want to brush up technique or introduce children to the sport without leaving town. The single lift, 350 metres of piste, and 34-metre vertical drop make this a glorified practice ground, not a destination.

The honest caveat is brutal: snow reliability is dire (15/100), which means you'll spend half the season looking at bare grass. At NOK 650 for an adult day pass, you're paying premium prices for a hill that barely qualifies as a resort. There is no off-piste terrain to speak of. This works only if you live in Oslo and want a quick after-work session or a gentle introduction to skiing for kids. For anyone travelling to Norway for a ski trip, look elsewhere - immediately.
