Dryden Ski Club ski resort
Dryden Ski Club is a local community hill for Ontario skiers and snowboarders seeking convenient, short-distance runs rather than a destination resort. With just 1.7 km of piste, a 47 m vertical drop, and a modest run selection (3 easy, 6 intermediate, 1 advanced), this is a place to log laps on familiar terrain, not to explore varied skiing. It suits families new to the sport, local regulars, and anyone wanting a quick session without the drive to major resorts - think of it as a training ground or weekend warm-up, not a holiday centrepiece.
The critical caveat is snow reliability: at 15/100, Dryden depends heavily on artificial snowmaking and winter conditions that are far from guaranteed in Ontario. The season runs December to May, but don't expect consistent coverage. The day pass price of CAD 145 (roughly CAD 220) is steep for what amounts to a small local hill with minimal terrain variety and no off-piste options. Four lifts serve the runs efficiently, but there is simply not enough vertical or acreage to hold most skiers' interest for more than a few hours.
We'd recommend Dryden only if you live within 30 minutes and want a convenient local option, or if you're teaching beginners who benefit from short, gentle slopes. For any serious ski trip or holiday, look elsewhere - the snow reliability alone makes it an unreliable choice, and the terrain will feel cramped within a day.
