Clearwater Ski Hill ski resort

Clearwater Ski Hill is a small, family-friendly resort in British Columbia that suits beginner and intermediate skiers looking for an accessible, low-key mountain experience without the crowds or expense of major resorts. With 7 easy runs out of 13 total, it's genuinely geared toward progression and learning, and the modest 304 m vertical drop means you can lap the mountain repeatedly without exhaustion. The two-lift setup keeps things simple and intimate.

The honest caveat: this is not a destination resort. Snow reliability is variable (15/100), which means you're gambling on conditions, especially early and late season despite the November-to-May window. The 9.6 km of piste is limited, so repeat visitors will quickly know every run. There's virtually no off-piste terrain (1/5 rating), so powder enthusiasts should look elsewhere. At CAD 145 for an adult day pass, it's pricey for what you get - you're paying near-major-resort rates for a hill that's roughly one-tenth the size.

Clearwater works best as a local's hill or a convenient stop for BC residents wanting a quick ski day, or for families with young children who need confidence-building terrain. Don't expect variety, challenging terrain, or guaranteed snow. Come with modest expectations and a flexible schedule.
