Látky - Prašivá ski resort

Látky - Prašivá is a beginner-focused micro-resort in central Slovakia, suited to families with young children, local day-trippers, and anyone seeking a low-pressure introduction to skiing in Eastern Europe. With just 0.8 km of piste across three easy runs and a 100 m vertical drop, this is not a destination for progression or varied terrain - it is a gentle learning hill, nothing more.

The resort's main strength is accessibility and affordability: a EUR 48 day pass is reasonable, and the modest scale means no queues and a relaxed atmosphere. Two lifts serve the terrain adequately for the intended audience. However, snow reliability is a significant weakness at only 22/100, making the December-to-April season unpredictable; you may arrive to find marginal conditions or closures. There is virtually no off-piste terrain, and the vertical drop is barely enough to build confidence on skis.

This is not a resort for serious skiers, intermediate learners seeking progression, or anyone planning a multi-day trip. It works as a half-day outing for families with very young children or as a local weekend hill if snow cooperates. Expect basic facilities and a distinctly local character rather than resort infrastructure.
