Horní Podluží is a tiny, beginner-focused slope in the Czech Republic that suits families with young children or absolute novices looking for a gentle introduction to skiing on a shoestring budget - but only if you're visiting the Ústí nad Labem region for other reasons. With just 0.65 km of piste, a 118 m vertical drop, and four easy runs, this is not a destination resort. It's a local hill where you might spend an afternoon, not a weekend.

The real problem is snow reliability: at 23/100, you're gambling heavily on winter conditions. The modest elevation (452-570 m) means this slope is vulnerable to thaw and rain, particularly in shoulder months. A CZK 1200 day pass is steep for what amounts to a training slope - you're paying premium prices for beginner terrain with no guarantee the snow will be there. There's virtually no off-piste opportunity (1/5 rating), so once you've skied the four easy runs, you're done.
