Alpalouka ski resort
Alpalouka is a micro-resort suited only to absolute beginners, families with very young children seeking a gentle introduction to skiing, or locals wanting a quick after-work run. With just 1.3 km of piste and 151 m of vertical, this is not a destination resort - it is a practice slope masquerading as a ski area. The two-lift setup and negligible off-piste terrain (1/5) mean you will exhaust the skiing within an hour or two.
The honest caveat is snow reliability: at 21/100, Alpalouka sits in the marginal zone where natural snow is unreliable and artificial snow production becomes critical to viability. The modest elevation (842-993 m) compounds this risk. The CZK 1200 day pass is eye-watering for what amounts to a nursery slope - you are paying premium prices for minimal terrain. This is not a value proposition for anyone with intermediate or advanced skills.
We recommend Alpalouka only if you live within 30 minutes and need a convenient beginner venue, or if you are part of a school group. For any serious ski trip, look elsewhere in the Czech Republic or nearby Alpine regions where snow is more reliable and terrain more varied.
