Skiareál Peklák ski resort
Skiareál Peklák is a micro-resort in the Czech Republic's Pardubice Region, suited only to absolute beginners, families with very young children, or locals seeking a quick ski fix within an hour or two of home. With just 0.9 km of piste, 146 m of vertical, and two lifts, this is not a destination resort - it is a practice slope masquerading as a ski area. The appeal lies entirely in accessibility and affordability for nearby residents.
The honest caveat is brutal: snow reliability here is dire (15/100), meaning most seasons will see you skiing on artificial snow or not at all. The CZK 1200 day pass is shockingly expensive for what amounts to a glorified nursery slope, making it poor value even by European standards. Off-piste terrain is non-existent (1/5 rating). There is no reason whatsoever to travel to Peklák from outside the region, and even locals would be better served driving to the Tatras or Bohemian Forest resorts.
This resort works only as a convenient local training ground during the brief December-to-March window when conditions align. For any serious skier, or anyone planning a ski holiday, look elsewhere.
