Ramzová ski resort

Ramzová is a small regional ski area in the Czech Olomouc Region that suits budget-conscious skiers and families looking for a low-key, local experience rather than a destination resort. With 6.7 km of piste across 12 runs and a modest 561 m vertical drop, it offers enough variety to keep intermediate skiers occupied for a day or two, and the three easy runs provide a gentle introduction for beginners. The lift infrastructure is basic - just three lifts - so expect queues during peak times and a slower pace overall.

The standout strength is affordability: at CZK 1200 for an adult day pass, it's genuinely cheap by Alpine standards, making it accessible for casual skiers and families on tight budgets. The season runs December through March, giving a reasonable winter window. However, snow reliability is a significant weakness at just 22/100 - this is a marginal snow area that will frequently require artificial snowmaking to stay open, and conditions can be patchy. Off-piste skiing is essentially non-existent (1/5 rating), so this is a piste-only resort with no backcountry appeal.

We'd recommend Ramzová only if you're a local or passing through the region and want a quick ski fix without commitment or expense. It's not a destination worth traveling far for, and poor snow reliability means you should check conditions before committing. For a proper Central European ski holiday, you'd be better served by larger resorts in Slovakia or Poland with more reliable snow and terrain variety.
