FELA Zlatník ski resort
FELA Zlatník is a micro-resort suited only to absolute beginners, young children, or those seeking a novelty Czech ski experience within a few hours of Prague. With just 0.6 km of piste and a 100 m vertical drop, this is not a destination for progression or serious skiing - it is a local hill masquerading as a resort. The two lifts and minimal terrain mean you will exhaust the skiing within an hour or two, making it impractical for a multi-day trip.
The critical weakness is snow reliability, rated at just 15/100, which means you are gambling heavily on winter conditions. At only 641 m base elevation in the Moravian-Silesian Region, natural snow is inconsistent and artificial snowmaking capacity is not mentioned. The CZK 1200 day pass is eye-watering for what amounts to a training slope - you are paying premium Alpine prices for a glorified nursery run. The typical season runs December to March, but do not expect reliable coverage outside of occasional cold snaps.
We would only recommend FELA Zlatník if you are a Czech local seeking a quick weekend outing with small children, or if you are documenting every ski area in Central Europe. For anyone with genuine skiing ambitions or a real holiday budget, look elsewhere - the Czech Republic has better options, and Austria or Poland are within striking distance.
