پیست اسکی پاپایی, Papaei Ski Resort ski resort

Papaei is a tiny, no-frills resort in Iran's Zanjan Province that suits only the most adventurous skiers seeking novelty or those with deep local connections. With just 1 km of piste, 112 m of vertical, and two lifts serving a modest base elevation of 2067 m, this is not a destination for serious skiing. The appeal lies entirely in its rarity and the chance to ski in a region where few Western skiers venture.

The honest caveat: snow reliability is decent at 61/100, and the season runs December through April, but the terrain is minimal and the off-piste rating of 1/5 means there is virtually no backcountry skiing. The day pass is bargain-basement cheap at USD 10, but you will exhaust the skiing in under an hour. This is a local hill, not a resort, and infrastructure, facilities, and English-language support are likely minimal.

Come here only if you are collecting unusual ski destinations, have family or business in the region, or want to experience skiing in Central Asia as a cultural curiosity rather than a serious ski trip. For actual skiing, look elsewhere.
